This project is probably a milestone for me and my motion graphics/compositing career. I'll be credited under "Visual Effects" and the project will be shown on HBO in February. For the first time in my editing career I decided to log my times and in the past 2 weeks have clocked myself at 72 hours in completing the project. At the time it didn't seem so much, but I'm glad I know I have the capacity to hold down a project like that solo.
I've honestly been so dedicated to this last project that I've actually had dreams about it ruining my social life. I feel so at peace right now.
There's still much to do before the semester ends. I have to mix some sound for my class' film, and a small compositing gig for one more group. I also have Project X to finish. With all that said, I don't think I'll be taking anymore freelance jobs until next year. I need some time off to be with friends and loved ones.
This song, so far, is probably my favorite song off Nujabes' latest and final album. It describes perfectly how I feel right now. He's probably the only artist I've felt in shock when hearing of his passing, and only wish the world could have heard so much more from him.
