A break from school work.

So I've been busy these past couple of weeks wrapping up some projects both out and inside of school. I just finished what was probably one of my most tedious jobs I have ever done, and did my first sound mix for my film group's project. It felt good to try something else outside of the visual editing range. I've done some small audio editing work before, but I never did a project where I was fully designated to work on sound.

My final consensus: sound is a lot funner than I thought it'd be.

I haven't slept much these past 2 weeks and I've grown accustomed to pushing myself awake with coffee when it comes to project deadlines. I've grown to like that feeling. It feels amazing when you're dead tired and inspiration in a combination with caffeine wakes you up.

I saw a quote which seems to stick in my mind about not sleeping not too long ago:
“I was doing some research on 50 Cent and he said when he wasn’t doing the movie he was doing the soundtrack. They said, when do you sleep 50? He said, “Sleep? Sleep is for those people who are broke.”

As for returning to personal projects, today I'll be utilizing what short time I have to work on "Project X" and then spending the closing hours of the night to work on a study guide for a test tomorrow.

Oh, and I'm simply in love with this video, especially since Megaupload is my middleman for delivery to clientele. Apparently there has been this whole issue with Megaupload and the government due to them harboring illegal music and movies and I just find it great that they made a song from short interviews and songs from famous artists and celebrities, and to top that, an even cooler motion graphics video.
